Why I work smarter with a headset

At Clyde Solutions we are lucky enough to have the Plantronics CS540 wireless headsets on every desk, they really are the best out there! Having previously worked in a call centre part time when I was subjected to the most overused headsets imaginable. It was very difficult to hear customers on the phone and the wires were often loose and cut out intermittently. Your headsets would also go “missing” on your day off so you had to write your name on it or hide it! Small Businesses worried about unreliable Broadband

09 October 2014

A recent Citizens Advice survey of 2000 small businesses showed that a staggering 30% of them are worried about the potential of internet outages. A third said they have experienced problems with their broadband or phone service in the last 12 months, while more than half claimed they would lose money or be unable to trade at all if their internet connection goes down. Citizens Advice found that almost a quarter have complained to their broadband provider about problems in the past. Gillian Guy, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice, said poor broadband services "are costing small firms business". "Many are using the internet to communicate with customers, place orders for stock and shop around for the best priced supplies," she noted. "A reliable broadband service is essential for firms to be able to operate."
